Mr. Haibing (Eric) WU, former CFO of Plateno Group, will join Vision Knight Capital on April 2nd, 2018, to further enhance VKC’s consulting ability and investment capacity.
Mr. Eric Wu has over 20 years of extensive experiences in corporate strategy and financial management, capital market, and auditing. Before joining Vision Knight Capital, Mr. Wu has been the Chief Financial Officer of 7 Days Group Holdings Limited (subsequently renamed to Plateno Group) since Oct 2007. Mr. Wu led the company to a successful IPO on NYSE in 2009. As a key member of the executive team, Mr. Wu witnessed the exponential growth of the company from less than 100 hotels to one of the largest hotel chains in China with over 4,000 hotels. As a member of the Board, Mr. Wu was also deeply involved in all key strategic decisions by the Company, and was the key driver in the going private transaction in 2013, and the strategic acquisition by Jinjiang Hotel Group in 2016. Mr. Wu also oversaw several key strategic initiatives of the group, including the global expansion and the establishment of the first incubator in hospitality industry. From 2000 to 2007, Mr. Wu worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the US office, and subsequently in Shanghai office. Prior to that, Mr. Wu worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb China Headquarters and Coopers & Lybrand Shanghai office.
Mr. Wu graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University majoring in Engineering Economics, and holds MBA degree from Michigan State University.
